Well, thanks to this compatibility it is possible to have the Play Store on a Windows 11 PC, but if you want an alternative to the Google store , then you should know that one will soon arrive from China. That’s right, Huawei is already testing the integration of the AppGallery (its app store) to Windows 11.

La AppGallery de Huawei llega a Windows 11 con todas las aplicaciones de Android

Huawei’s app store is not very popular in this part of the world, but it is in Asia. Currently, the AppGallery has more than 730 million users and about 120,000 applications , among which are the most popular Android applications, with some important exceptions (such as Google and Meta apps).

Well, Huawei wants to take advantage of the compatibility with Android applications offered by Windows 11 to give its app store a new boost. This is how they have decided to launch the AppGallery in the Microsoft operating system, although at the moment it is only available in China and on its Huawei MateBook X Pro laptop . This is because the store integration project is still in beta.

How to install the AppGallery on a Huawei MateBook X Pro laptop?

If you have a Huawei MateBook X Pro you should know that you can now install the Chinese manufacturer’s application store. To do so, you must make sure you have updated the Huawei PC Manager app (which is installed by default on the laptop) to version 12.0.2.30. The next thing will be to open this program and click on the HUAWEI Mobile App Engine Beta Program option.

Doing this will open a tab in your browser that will start the download of the installation file from the store with which you can have the AppGallery on your Windows 11 laptop.

Now, remember that the beta is only available in China , so if you are not in the Asian country, when you open the store on your computer you will get a message that it is not available for your region. Any way to get around this? Yes, by using a VPN that simulates your connection location in China.
