Until now, when a person sent a message through a group, only their phone number or the contact name that you had associated with it appeared. Once the new feature is activated, each message will be displayed with the user’s profile picture .
As expected, the profile photo will only be shown if it is marked in the privacy options as public or for registered contacts. In any other case, other users will not see your profile picture, but the default WhatsApp avatar. Besides, this avatar will be the same color as the one assigned to you by the group automatically to identify you from other users.
When will messages to your own number and profile photos be available in WhatsApp groups?
